Abstract Submission
Thank you for your interest in contributing to the DGMS Annual Meeting!
All abstracts must be submitted online. The scientific committee will review all submissions and decide on acceptance and presentation type (oral or poster). In each topic area, three abstracts will be selected for oral presentations, while all other accepted contributions will be presented as posters. Corresponding authors will be notified in January 2026. Further organizational details will be communicated directly to presenting authors.

What’s new in 2026?
For the first time, posters will be presented digitally in chaired sessions. Instead of crowded poster walls and poster tubes, you will experience focused discussions at large 55” touch screens. In addition, all posters will be accessible on your personal devices before and during the conference. This allows you to:

  • Browse posters at your own pace
  • Mark interesting contributions and contact authors directly
  • Join specific, interactive poster sessions
  • Continue the discussion in a quiet setting — with the poster always at your fingertips

To implement this new concept, the submission deadline has been moved forward. This ensures that all content can be reviewed, assigned, and prepared in time for the digital platform. Access to posters will be restricted to registered conference participants. The abstract submission deadline is November 30, 2025.

Questions?
If you have any questions about the submission process or the new poster concept, feel free to contact us — we’re happy to help!

Submit your abstract now and be part of the DGMS 2026 digital poster experience!

Travel scholarships are advertised and organized by the DGMS:

Scholarships are open for application now!

DGMS student members who meet the guidelines can apply for DGMS travel scholarship via the online form (only) on the DGMS Website (information in German only) until February 14th, 2026.

Students applying for a travel scholarship will receive a flat rate of 400€.
Students from closer distance will receive a reduced flat rate of 300€.

There is a limitation for travel scholarships of 70 students and 4 participants per workgroup as maximum.

Importantly, students who apply for a travel scholarship will have to confirm by signature – directly after the conference in Leipzig – that they actively attended the conference by presenting their work with a talk or poster. Otherwise the travel scholarship cannot be awarded. Please consider this additional amount of time, as there will be approx. 70 students to be processed!

Additional announcements may be made during the conference in Leipzig!
